Hi Christine, I live in a small suburb in Germany's smallest province- Saarland. It cannot get any more personal than this. Here there is also a lot of racism. People generally look down upon dark skinned people as they think every person with a lighter skin tone is dependent on their taxes and is raised by the state. Many a times I have been accused of the same in places I never could have imagined. In the bigger cities people are more tolerant as they are used to foreigners. Here not so much. They tend to think with their eyes. I have however written about these instances on detail on medium.
